2019 SEASON INFORMATIONAL

The New Orleans Metro Stars will be holding an informational for the 2019 Season on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 6pm at the Dryades YMCA located at 2220 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. 

This meeting is MANDATORY for all interested athletes and parents including returning families. If you are unable to make it, please send a proxy to represent your family. 

Information concerning registration, membership dues, meet schedule, practice schedule, uniforms and more will be covered at the informational.

2019 Registration Now Open

Registration for the 2019 track and field season is open and will remain open until all spots are filled. Please register online at this link.

Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm at the City Park Practice Track next to Tad Gormley Stadium and on Saturdays at 9:30am at the levee on River Rd across the street from Storage Post Self Storage (225 River Rd, Jefferson, LA 70121)

Practice Schedule Change

Beginning Monday, May 7th, Practice will be held on Monday through Thursday at 6pm at the City Park Practice Track. No Saturday Practices. If you are a hurdler or High Jumper, we will still meet on Fridays at Joe Brown at 6pm.

The practice location is the same as it's always been but if you are new to the metro stars just go to the red dot pictured below.

Uniform Fees Due

Uniform Fees are due on or before Sunday, April 1, 2018. If you were a member of the Metro Stars Last year, please make sure your athlete has the correct full uniform as per the image below.

Remember that if your athlete is born in the year 2006 or before, they must purchase the youth uniform with the shorts. Only Kids born prior to 2006, entering the 13 and up age groups may wear the tights options.

The socks are not a uniform requirement.

Remember, athletes are to only wear solid white, black, or purple compression gear under their uniforms. If you are having a hard time finding youth sizes in those colors, you can find them here for a reasonable price.

2018 Season Registration is Open

Practices are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6pm at the City Park Practice Track next to Tad Gormley Stadium.

FYI: Registration is not complete until a copy of the athlete's birth certificate is supplied and club membership dues are paid in full. Club Membership dues are due before May 14, 2018. Information about club membership dues can be found here and can be paid at the following link.

2018 Schedule Released

Here is the schedule for the upcoming season. The meets in bold are important meets that we would like the athletes not to miss. The meets in italics are meets in which athletes are able to qualify for the AAU Jr Olympic Games.

As you can see, the Metro Stars will be hosting a meet this summer.

OFF SEASON TRAINING BEGINS

In preparation for the 2018 season, the New Orleans Metro Stars will be holding Off Season Conditioning practices beginning Saturday, November 11, at 9:30am at the softball field across from Gernon Brown Gym and continuing until March 2018.

Off season training serves to build on fundamentals the athletes learned during the season as well as improve strength, endurance, and explosiveness.
