Summer Informational

The Metro Stars will be holding an informational for anyone interested in participating in our summer track and field program on Monday, April 3rd at 6pm at the Boys & Girls Club located at 1140 S Broad St.

This is a good opportunity to get all of the information necessary to understand the commitment it takes to participate in summer track for both parents and athletes. It is also a chance to ask those burning questions you've been having.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Practice Schedule

Hello Metro Stars Family,

Since we are getting closer to the regular season, we will being holding 3 practice sessions a week.

Starting this week, we will meet at the City Park Practice Track on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 6pm.

On Saturdays we will rotate between the Levee and the Practice track weekly. This Saturday, we will be at the Levee on River Road, across from Southport Hall.

2017 Season Registration

Registration for the 2017 season has begun. If you or your athlete is interested in participating in AAU Track and field with the New Orleans Metro Stars Track Club Please fill out a club application and bring it along with a copy of your athlete's Birth Certificate to practice.

We are still doing off-season conditioning so we are still only meeting on Saturdays at 930am at the practice track.

Conditioning

Off season practices and conditioning have begun in preparation for the 2017 season. Practices will be held every Saturday morning either at the track or on the levee across from Southport Hall.

Off season conditioning is important for strength and endurance building, which will help our athletes in the other sports they play as well as prepare them for the upcoming park season.

This is also a good time for everyone to catch up and set goals for the upcoming season.

Once again practices will be held on Saturday mornings at 9:30am at either the City Park Practice Track or at the levee on River Road across from Southport Hall located at 200 Monticello Ave, Jefferson, LA 70121.

Regular Season Practices

Hello All,

Our season will be starting in May so we will start moving into regular season practices. We will be meeting at the practice track at City Park at 6pm on Monday through Thursday and at the levee on River Road at 9:30am on Saturdays.

We would really like the athletes to make at least three days of practice as we are moving from base conditioning workouts into interval work in the next few weeks. If they are not able to make it to a work out, try to have them get a 1.5 mile run in.
